To further optimize the rare cleaning process and increase plant efficiency, the W-DF type filter is available as a dual filter in a switchable double-line operation.

The dual filter is designed to remove foreign particles from the respective medium (e.g. lubricating oil, water) and is intended for continuous filtration.

Typically, one filter chamber is in operation while the other is filled with liquid and a clean filter element in reserve. If the operating filter element becomes heavily contaminated, it can be manually switched to the reserved chamber. An overlapping switch between the two filter chambers ensures an uninterrupted media flow.

After switching, the contaminated filter element must be removed, cleaned or replaced, and reinserted, so that a reserve chamber is available for the next switching operation.
