W-FILTER has been impressing customers with its quality and solutions in the field of filtration since 1980. Now in its second generation, the family-run business successfully demonstrates continuity in the market for industrial filters for plant engineering.

Our core competency lies in the development, manufacturing and distribution of strainers, basket strainers and pot strainers in welded construction.

Within nominal sizes of DN 50-DN 1000 and pressure ratings of PN 6-PN 100, we offer standard solutions for horizontal and vertical pipelines. We also fulfill special designs and customized requirements for various industries.

Our
History

The history of our family business dates back to 1980, when founder Günter Waldow began to capture the industrial valve market with his engineering office. Over the years, we have focused on the development, manufacturing and distribution of strainers, basket strainers and pot strainers in welded construction.

Focus on the development, manufacturing and distribution of strainers, basket strainers and pot strainers in welded construction 1990 In particular, the district heating market in Denmark has grown positively, as seen in projects like Värmeplan Århus, Amager. 1985 We are expanding our marketing efforts in Europe with strong distribution partners. 2005 The W-type filter is also increasingly used in the chemical sector, such as at EVONIK’s Marl plant (formerly Hüls Degussa). 2000 STEAG (IQONY) also equips its Walsum power plant in Duisburg with cost-effective filters. 2009 The Mannheim power plant (GKM) uses W-FILTER technology for Block 9 and its further expansion (MVV). 2007 Dirk Waldow, in the second generation, continues the successful expansion of the company’s activities. 2015 Many waste incineration plants are equipped with our low-maintenance filters, including the Dublin Waste to Energy (Covanta plant). 2013 After over 35 years of leading the company, Günter Waldow († 2022) has passed the baton to his son, Dirk Waldow. 2020 In addition to supplying Germany’s largest geothermal plant in Munich, the W-type filter is also used in pioneering areas of the battery industry. 2017 ISO 9001 certification W-FILTER also implemented offically
a Quality Management System according to ISO 9001
2025 Moving into new offices with beginning of the year W-FILTER moved into new
offices - which are located in the heart of Speyer
