Description Filter Type W
The filter type W is a highly economical strainer, specifically a basket strainer. One of its unique features is its installation method. Depending on your needs, it can be installed either horizontally or vertically. Its screen is a wedge-shaped basket positioned in the direction of flow.
The pressure loss is
- 25% compared to comparable Y-filters
- 50% compared to conventional pot T-filters

Shallow angles between the flow and the screen result in a slow increase in pressure loss due to dirt, and a service life of at least twice as long before cleaning is required.
Since the cleaning cover is located at the top, the infrequent cleaning cycle is quick and convenient. The sieve is a closed basket, which ensures complete removal of dirt, allowing the remaining medium to be cleaned and easily drained.
For differential pressure monitoring, we offer standard connection nozzles starting from DN 150, with smaller sizes available upon request.
