On Wednesday, Speyer-based entrepreneur Dirk Waldow, managing director of W-FILTER GmbH, made a strong statement of social commitment: In the presence of Mayor Stefanie Seiler, he presented a donation of 500 euros to the children’s hospice Sterntaler e.V.
As a medium-sized company with deep roots in Speyer, W-FILTER GmbH has stood for decades not only for quality, technical expertise, and reliability in filter technology, but also for a clear commitment to the region. Supporting social institutions is an expression of a corporate culture that understands responsibility not only in economic terms, but also socially.
“As a company, we benefit from a strong location and good cooperation. It is a matter of course for us to give something back,” emphasized Dirk Waldow during the donation handover.
The Sterntaler Children’s Hospice Association supports seriously ill children, teenagers, and young adults, as well as their families, on their often very difficult journey. In addition to medical and nursing care, the focus of their work is primarily on psychosocial support, respite care, and providing compassionate companionship. The donation of 500 euros will help ensure the continuation of these valuable services and provide support to affected families in challenging circumstances. Organizations like the children’s hospice rely on donations to continue their vital work.
The presence of Mayor Stefanie Seiler underscores the importance of this commitment to the city. The donation handover demonstrates once again how deeply Speyer’s entrepreneurs are dedicated to social causes and how they take responsibility beyond their own businesses.
W-FILTER GmbH views this commitment not as a one-off action, but as part of a long-term strategy: economic success and social responsibility go hand in hand. We thank all employees, partners, and customers who make such initiatives possible through their trust and cooperation, and we look forward to supporting projects that strengthen our region in the future.
Together for Speyer. Together for humanity.
